Essence of Spring: March Yin Yoga Restorative Series with Crystal

Join Crystal every Monday in March for a journey of self-discovery and relaxation. Embrace the surge of spring energy, awakening dormant aspects within ourselves, and harmonizing the body’s energy flow to support overall well-being.
Each week, Crystal will lead themed classes—cultivating mindfulness, embracing stillness, opening the heart, and setting intentions. Participants will experience tranquility, improved flexibility, and a deeper connection with themselves.
Weekly Focus:
Week 1 – March 11th: Awakening Renewal
Dive into introspection and renewal with poses like Caterpillar Pose, Dragon Pose, Twisted Roots Pose, and Butterfly Pose.
- Caterpillar Pose (Paschimottanasana): Encourages introspection and renewal.
- Dragon Pose (Yin variation of Lunge): Stimulates the liver meridian and stretches the hip flexors.
- Twisted Roots Pose (Yin variation of Supine Twist): Gentle twist to support detoxification and release tension in the spine.
- Butterfly Pose (Baddha Konasana): Opens the hips and stimulates the inner thighs, connecting with the liver meridian.
Week 2 – March 18th: Nourishing Growth
Nurture growth and expansion through Supported Fish Pose, Square Pose, Wide-Legged Forward Fold, and Sphinx Pose.
- Supported Fish Pose (Matsyasana): Opens the chest and stimulates the liver meridian.
- Square Pose (Gomukhasana): Stretches the hips and shoulders, promoting flexibility and energy flow.
- Wide-Legged Forward Fold (Prasarita Padottanasana): Releases tension in the back and stretches the inner thighs.
- Sphinx Pose (Salamba Bhujangasana): Gentle backbend to stimulate the liver and encourage courage in decision-making.
Week 3 – March 25th: Harmonizing Energy
- Reclining Twist (Supta Matsyendrasana): Releases tension in the spine and stimulates the liver meridian.
- Seal Pose (Yin variation of Bhujangasana): Opens the chest and encourages energy flow.
- Thread the Needle Pose (Parsva Balasana): Gentle twist to release tension in the shoulders and stimulate the liver meridian.
- Child’s Pose (Balasana): Encourages surrender and relaxation, supporting the body’s natural detoxification processes.

About Your Instructor
Crystal Champagne, a certified and seasoned yin yoga and meditation teacher with over 8 years of experience, wears multiple hats as a busy real estate broker and a yin yoga and meditation instructor who, in the past, had the honour of being a two-time Lululemon ambassador. Beyond her professional roles, Crystal is driven to teach yoga with a deep understanding of its profound ability to bring balance to a hectic world consumed by constant “doing.” Emphasizing the importance of understanding ourselves as human beings, not solely defined by our actions, she aims to inspire both herself and her fellow participants to let go and simply “be.”
Crystal places significant value on stillness as a catalyst for mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Her unwavering commitment to guiding others in embracing moments of quiet reflection reflects her genuine belief in the transformative power of mindfulness amid life’s chaos.
