Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation practice that helps attune into deep levels of relaxation. It is a nourishing healing modality that invites you to rest, restore and reconnect with your inner Self. During the deep rest it allows the body to release tension and calms the mind, the sympathetic nervous system inviting a state of conscious relaxation. In this practice the body and mind rest and consciousness is awake allowing for a deeper relaxation. The practice of yoga nidra offers lingering benefits allowing for restful nights and deeper sleep.

There are no postures or movement in this practice. For an hour you lay down on your mat in savasana and are guided to journey into the calm realms where peace and inner clarity can emerge. It is slowing downwards creating space to dwell more deeply in the sacred ‘home’ that we carry within our soul. We scan the body, we set an intention, we breathe consciously, we welcome our thoughts without judgment, and we observe our Self towards the root of one’s being.  Yoga Nidra is an exquisite practice, and I invite you to join me as you delve into your transformative journey embodying your inherent wisdom and love within.

ABOUT MARIA

Since 2006 my devotion to somatic yoga, meditation teachings, and goddess mystic arts are the dynamic healing modalities that I live with and love to share with students.  As a wisdom keeper and seer, I weave intuitive wisdom with grounded practices guiding with presence and experience.  I bring a wealth of yogic teachings which has been inspired by legendary meditation teachers. Michael Stone, Thomas Huebl, S.N.Goenka, Tara Brach, Jack Kornfield and Thich That Hanh have continued to inspire me with their contemplative meditation practices. In the yogic realms my advanced yoga trainings include Rod Stryker and Richard Miller (Yoga Nidra), Judith Lasiter (Restorative Yoga), Ron Reid and Meenakshi Joy (Ashtanga, Hatha), and Dr. Sue Morter. With almost two decades of teaching these yogic wisdom traditions, I have created nourishing classes guiding, weaving and inspiring students to explore their visceral experiences whilst embodying trust and inner wisdom with the higher Self. I strive to inspire and offer classes that are deeply restorative and contemplative that align with soulful healing and mindfulness.

My studies for the last 15 years with Elayne Doughty (Priestess Presence), Chameli Gad (Awakening Women) and Sally Kempton (Awakening Shakti) have continued to inspire me to follow the sacred mystical arts of Divine Feminine path and legacies. These esoteric teachings and traditions have enabled me to weave ancient stories with modern spiritual alchemy in my life. My greatest joy is sharing energy medicine that embody a joyful and inspired life.

“There is a life force within your soul, seek that life.

There is a gem in the mountain of your body, seek that mine.

O Traveler, if you are in search of that, don’t look outside, look inside yourself

and seek that.”
